Fair Haven East Shore Marshes — One

About

I’m a visual artist, dividing my time between Atlanta and New Haven, Connecticut. My recent work focuses on landscapes and street views, approached with an emphasis on color, movement, and overall design rather than strict representation. I build paintings through broad, gestural strokes, allowing forms to emerge and shift as the surface develops.

While rooted in observed places, these works move away from direct description toward something more intuitive—where color relationships, spatial tension, and rhythm carry as much weight as the subject itself. I’m increasingly interested in pushing the work toward greater openness and energy, letting the structure of the painting hold together even as detail falls away.
